Statement
It
is the express purpose of the NMTA to preserve, advance and promote
trapping in New Mexico. To accomplish this mission the association
will: seek to educate trappers, and the public in general, through
Trappers Education programs, public forums and other appropriate
venues; work closely with the NM Department of Game and Fish and
the NM Game Commission; participate in all levels of the legislative
process; organize annual rendezvous for trappers and their families;
sponsor an annual fur auctions; seek out and develop alliances
with other sustainable resource user groups and otherwise seek
to increase awareness of and membership in both the NMTA and National
Trappers Association.
The
NMTA is currently re-establishing it’s status as a non-profit
organization. Please
